ESPN Announces Life In The W Docuseries Following Three WNBA Stars, Premiering July 24

ESPN is taking fans inside the lives of three of the WNBA’s biggest names. The network has announced Life in the W, a six part ESPN Original docuseries following A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, and DeWanna Bonner of the Phoenix Mercury as they navigate pivotal moments in their professional and personal lives.

An All-Star Weekend Premiere

The series premieres Friday, July 24 on ESPN2, timed to the 30th anniversary of the league’s All-Star weekend. The first two episodes debut that night, with two more episodes dropping each evening through Sunday, July 26. All episodes will also be available on the ESPN App for ESPN Select plan subscribers.

“Women’s basketball is thriving thanks to great players with great stories,” said Lindsay Rovegno, Vice President and Executive Producer of ESPN Originals, in the network’s official announcement. Rovegno added that viewers will love getting to know the three stars as they strive for excellence at the highest level.

A Heavyweight Production Team

Life in the W is produced by UNINTERRUPTED in association with Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, the in-house content and production studio of Dick’s Sporting Goods, with showrunner Trishtan Williams serving as executive producer. Through exclusive behind the scenes access, the series captures the sacrifices, pressures, and leadership responsibilities that come with life at the highest level of women’s basketball.

ESPN has partnered with the WNBA since the league’s inception in 1997, making it the longest running national broadcast partner in league history. The docuseries builds on the network’s expanded investment in women’s sports, including initiatives like Women’s Sports Sundays and Women’s Sports Now. It also adds to a busy July for the network, which is currently running its ESPYS Week charity auction with the V Foundation.
