Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hexed has new character maquettes on display in The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Sculpts of Billie Doe, her mother Alice Doe, and the three-eyed cat Beef Roger Crummchuk riding in Bucket, the film’s walking enchanted cauldron, went on display by Friday, September 25, two months before the film opens in theaters on November 25, 2026.

The Maquettes
The sculpts are unpainted gray. Billie stands with one hand on her hip and a cloak draped off her shoulders, her long hair trailing behind her in a braid. Alice stands with her arms crossed, wearing a fitted vest and skirt with her hair pulled up in a bun. Beef grins with a stemmed glass raised in one hand, sitting inside Bucket, a round cauldron with loop handles and pointed feet.
Who Is Bucket
Bucket is Billie’s companion in the witch realm of Hexe. Disney Animation described the character at Annecy in June as a walking enchanted cauldron who behaves like a loyal dog Billie can ride. An early animation test showed Bucket wobbling on three legs, flopping onto its side and using one of its handles like a snout to sniff something out. Directors Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand have described Billie befriending an anthropomorphic cauldron named Bucket before the pair set out to find Beef.
Bucket also appears in the Hexed concept art gallery that opened with the attraction, where a full model sheet shows how the character’s shape and personality were refined. Disney has not announced a voice for Bucket.
Maquettes are small sculptures animators use to study a character from every angle, so that every drawing stays true to the design. Disney has said maquettes are part of what guests can spot inside The Magic of Disney Animation.
Who Voices The Characters
Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie, and Rashida Jones voices Alice. Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, and Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste. Tracey Ullman plays the enchanted feather quill pen Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry plays the magical journal Elias Quire.
In the film, Billie is an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl who discovers secret magical abilities. Once unleashed, they hurtle her out of suburbia and into a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice, she uncovers family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.
Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct, with Josie Trinidad as co-director. Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce. Disney released the first trailer and poster for Hexed, Walt Disney Animation’s 65th feature, in June.
The Magic Of Disney Animation
The Magic of Disney Animation officially opened on September 14 in the reimagined Animation Courtyard, in a building inspired by the Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank. The area draws on the premise of the Emmy-winning short Once Upon a Studio, and all 64 of the studio’s earlier animated features are represented inside.
