Kermit Headlines The First Muppet Passholder Magnet At Hollywood Studios On August 11

Walt Disney World has confirmed the full slate of Muppets themed Annual Passholder offerings coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the centerpiece is a Kermit the Frog magnet. All three items run from August 11 through September 24, 2026. It is the first Passholder magnet the Muppets have ever gotten.

Disney had teased the design with an image of a lily pad and pond captioned as the Passholders show, which is about as unsubtle as a Muppet Show reference gets. We read that art as Kermit when it went up, though not everyone did, with some outlets reading the same pond imagery as a Princess and the Frog tease instead.

The Magnet

The Kermit magnet is free and available at Mickey Shorts Theater from park open to park close for the whole run, while supplies last. It is one per Passholder, and you will need to show a valid Annual Pass card, a linked MagicBand, MagicBand+ or Disney MagicMobile pass, along with a government issued photo ID.

Magnet release days draw lines. That has been true for years and there is no reason to think this one will be different, especially with the Muppets currently having a moment at the park. The usual pattern is that waits collapse after the first week or so, and Disney has not historically run out.

The Milkshake And The Magic Shot

Dockside Diner is serving a Key Lime Kermit Milk Shake for the same window, made with vanilla milkshake, key lime cake crumbs, key lime sauce and sprinkles. It is first come, first served during the location’s normal operating hours, and unlike the magnet it costs money.

The third item is a Passholder exclusive Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot featuring Kermit playing his banjo, with a banjo prop available so you can make it a duet. The photographer is stationed near the end of Hollywood Boulevard close to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and the Magic Shot is offered daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Kermit is added to the image afterward rather than appearing in person, so this is not a character meet. All three offerings require valid theme park admission.

Why The Muppets, Why Now

This is the second act of a much bigger year for the Muppets at Hollywood Studios. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opened in May, handing one of the park’s headline attractions to Kermit, Animal, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. The magnet pickup at Mickey Shorts Theater sits a short walk from the coaster, which is almost certainly the point.

Between the retheme and a full round of Passholder exclusives, the Muppets have quietly become one of the steadiest presences at the park, a turn nobody would have predicted a couple of years ago.

One Thing To Check Before You Go

Annual Passholders still need valid admission and a theme park reservation for Hollywood Studios unless they are arriving after 2:00 PM or visiting on a good to go day, and standard blockout dates still apply. Worth confirming your date before building a trip around a free magnet.
