Walt Disney World has teased its next Annual Passholder magnet without naming the character, and passholders have already decided it is Kermit the Frog. If they are right, it would be the first Muppet ever to appear on one of the free collectible magnets.
Reading The Clues
The teaser turned up in the Passholder Buzz section of the My Disney Experience app and on the Annual Passholder social accounts, under the heading “It’s the Passholders Show!” The artwork is a swampy pond scene of lily pads, water lilies, cattails and mushrooms, with a log resting in the water and a Hidden Mickey worked into one of the lily pads. The accompanying video adds banjo music and the reflection of a rainbow across the surface.
Then there is the caption, which asks which magnet character is on the other side of the rainbow and tells passholders that someday they will find out. That is a direct lift from “Rainbow Connection,” the song Kermit performs on a log in a swamp, banjo in hand, in the opening of The Muppet Movie in 1979. The teaser also notes that the character is used to being in the spotlight.
Worth noting: not everyone landed on the same frog. At least one outlet read the green pond scene as a possible Princess and the Frog tie-in, which is a fair alternative given the setting. Disney has confirmed nothing either way.
Why Kermit Fits Right Now
The timing lines up with a broader Muppets push at the resort. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May 2026, bringing the characters into a second major attraction there, and its merchandise collection already leans heavily on Kermit. A passholder magnet would be a cheap, high-visibility extension of that campaign, and it would fill a gap that has sat open for years. The retheme also brought new courtyard music to the coaster.
More Than A Magnet
Disney has said the magnet arrives alongside two other passholder exclusives: a Disney PhotoPass experience and a limited-time treat. Whether either carries a Muppets theme has not been announced, and neither have pickup dates or locations for the magnet itself.
The pattern is familiar. Disney ran the same teaser-then-reveal sequence in the app for the Toy Story magnet earlier this year, with the full details following within days, so the confirmation should not be far off. LaughingPlace has a look at the teaser artwork.
