An Adventureland construction notice Walt Disney World filed at Magic Kingdom runs nearly two years, through August 31, 2028. The Notice of Commencement lists 4851 Caribbean Way, an address that matches the Adventureland Popcorn Cart between the outside of the Jungle Cruise and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. WDWMagic first reported the filing on September 21, and Blog Mickey said the address points to the area around the Jungle Cruise entrance.

The notice names Walt Disney World Resort as the owner and MLC Theming Inc. as the contractor. It was filed by Facility Asset Management, the Disney team whose filings usually cover maintenance and refurbishment rather than new additions. The only description of the work is “general construction.”
The address does not necessarily mean the popcorn cart itself is the project. The work could just as easily cover the surrounding area, and Disney Tourist Blog noted that the open bazaar around the cart has no address of its own, so Disney would use the closest one.
Nearly Twice The Usual Length
A notice like this one defaults to one year from the date it is recorded unless a later date is written in. Disney wrote in August 31, 2028. WDWMagic said a window that long points to more than a simple refresh or repair, even for work that looks maintenance-related.
MLC Theming takes on both new builds and refurbishments for theme parks, and its plasterers turn out rockwork, brick and other architectural details. Blog Mickey said a facilities filing paired with a theming contractor leaves room for either routine upkeep or a change guests will notice, and that the long window does not guarantee a lengthy closure.
What It Could Be
Blog Mickey guessed the work could widen the pathway at the Jungle Cruise entrance, which sits about 10 steps below the rest of Adventureland, to ease congestion as Piston Peak National Park and Villains Land open over the next few years. Disney Tourist Blog suggested crowd-flow changes such as reworking the Jungle Cruise stairs and ramp to add stroller parking, noting the stairs are often closed on busy days when the queue spills into the area. Neither idea appears in the filing.
As of September 30, Disney had not announced a project for the area or said when work would begin or whether it would be visible to guests. Walt Disney World had not responded to Blog Mickey’s request for comment as of September 23.
