Disney World Guided Search entered beta testing on Wednesday, September 30. The AI-powered vacation planning tool appears as a “Guided Search – BETA” tab on the Disney World website homepage for a small number of randomly selected guests.
Update: Beta testing of this new vacation planning tool began earlier this morning with a small percentage of guests. Let me know if you see it.

Who Can See The Beta
The test is limited to a random sample of guests in the United States and Canada. Guests need to sign in with a My Disney Experience account to use it. Disney plans to expand access in phases based on feedback from testers. “Guided Search” is a label for the test, not a final product name.
Disney developed the tool with Google Cloud. Its AI responses draw on official Disney data rather than the wider internet. The beta is the latest step in Disney’s push to simplify trip planning on its website and app.
What The Tool Does
Guests start by choosing when they want to visit. They can enter specific dates or search by month or season instead of checking one set of dates at a time. After picking a timeframe and party size, guests can describe the trip in their own words, such as a favorite character, a preferred room style, or the kind of pool they want.
That free-text field is optional. When it is used, the results can include short AI-generated summaries explaining why a resort fits the request. In one demo, a family whose son loved The Lion King asked for a good pool and easy park access. The tool suggested Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and its Lion King family suites.
Guests who skip the text box still get the broader date search. The tool checks eligible offers across the chosen period and automatically applies the lowest available rate. A map shows where each resort sits relative to the theme parks, along with its rate. A pricing and availability calendar shows how shifting dates could lower the price or open more options.
Guests can compare two resorts side by side, covering transportation, dining, nearby parks, and resort benefits. A chat feature takes follow-up questions, such as walking access to EPCOT, dining options, or how the pools compare. A disclaimer tells guests that AI powers the experience and can make mistakes. Guardrails keep the chat focused on Walt Disney World vacation planning.
The tool also creates shareable planning links, so a guest can price a vacation and send it to family and friends.
How It Affects Booking
The beta covers resorts, tickets, and vacation packages. It does not make dining reservations or book Lightning Lane. It also cannot yet handle reservations for multiple rooms.
The standard DisneyWorld.com booking tools, travel agents, and the Walt Disney World call center all remain available.
Disney has not said how long the beta will run or when it will reach more guests.
