An Avatar experience built under license from Disney Theatrical Group and Lightstorm Entertainment will hold its world premiere at Niagara Falls in Canada next spring. AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa opens May 17, 2027, at a performance site at Table Rock Centre, run by Niagara Parks, with shows scheduled through early September before the production heads to other venues around the world.
Niagara Parks announced the engagement on October 14. Tickets are not on sale yet, and release dates will be shared in the coming months. Fever, the official ticketing partner, has a waitlist open for anyone who wants an early heads-up.
A Walk Through Pandora, Then A Live Show
This is not a ride or a screening. Guests move at their own pace through two Pandoran settings, a rainforest and a coastal reef, filled with interactive installations built around the moon’s plants and creatures. The walk-through leads into a live acrobatic show that traces the Na’vi cycle of life, celebrating the power of connection and the spirit of life itself.
The format is called Magic Walk. IMMEX developed it and owns it, Montreal-based EMM Williams Productions is producing the Avatar version, and Moment Factory is leading the design and creative production. The project is backed by private investment and by the Government of Canada’s Creative Export Canada program.
“AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa is a defining moment for our company and for the future of immersive live entertainment,” said Tony Haswani, president of EMM Williams Productions.
Where Disney Fits In
Disney’s role here is as licensor. Disney Theatrical Group, part of The Walt Disney Studios, and James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment are lending the story world, while the outside partners build and run the show. That makes it a different kind of Avatar outing than Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a land Disney runs itself.
Niagara Parks sees it as a draw for the destination. “We are proud to welcome a world-class experience that will redefine entertainment in our destination, attract visitors from around the world and showcase Niagara Falls as a place where iconic natural beauty and extraordinary experiences come together,” said Graham Coveney, the Niagara Parks chair.
What To Know Before You Plan
The run is set for May 17 through early September 2027 at Table Rock Centre, the visitor complex beside Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. No prices, show times or exact closing date have been announced. The organizers describe the materials released so far as preliminary concept renderings, so the finished environments could look different by opening day.
Niagara Falls is only the start. After the Canadian run, the production is set to continue on to other venues, and Niagara Parks CEO David Adames told CHCH News that Nashville, New Orleans and Vancouver are among the next stops, along with a launch in Thailand.
