Cakeworthy has previewed the collection it will bring to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and the lineup leans on the brand’s signature flannels. The apparel maker shared a look at pieces built around Mickey Mouse, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion, all set to debut exclusively at the event in Anaheim later this month.
A Second Trip To The Show Floor
This marks Cakeworthy’s second appearance at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and the brand has promised what it describes as a few sweet treats alongside the apparel. Beyond the flannels, Cakeworthy’s booth will run daily product drops, meaning the merchandise available on Friday will not necessarily be what is on the racks Saturday or Sunday. The booth is also hosting fan trivia and a large all-over-print photo opportunity for attendees.
That daily drop structure has become common among D23 exhibitors, and it changes how attendees have to plan. A single visit to the show floor no longer guarantees seeing everything a brand brought, which tends to produce long morning lines at the booths with the most sought-after exclusives.
Where Cakeworthy Fits In The Retail Lineup
Cakeworthy is one of a long list of retail partners with a presence at this year’s event. The show floor also includes Loungefly, BoxLunch, Citizen, PANDORA, RSVLTS, Disney Fine Art, Little Words Project, Steiff, Blackwing, and Build-A-Bear, several of which are pairing merchandise with their own interactive activations. BoxLunch is building out a full circus tent concept complete with a Magic Mirror photo op and a Zoltar machine, while Ravensburger is running the Disney Lorcana presence, where show bundle pre-orders opened ahead of the event.
Cakeworthy’s broader catalog covers officially licensed apparel and accessories well beyond the Disney Parks, including recent collections tied to Muppet Treasure Island’s 30th anniversary and The Golden Girls. Its D23 exclusives from the 2024 event, which included a bag, a flannel, and a shirt, sold through the show and only briefly reappeared online afterward with limited stock and sizing, priced between roughly $35 and $60.
What To Expect On Site
Event-exclusive merchandise at D23 has a long history of selling out quickly, and Cakeworthy’s past showing suggests these flannels will not be an exception. Attendees hoping to secure specific pieces will want to check the booth early and return across multiple days to catch the rotating drops.
The preview joins a steady stream of merchandise reveals ahead of the event, which runs August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
