The Cosmic Rewind Holiday Remix returns to EPCOT on November 25, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of three Walt Disney World rides getting holiday music this season. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Alien Swirling Saucers at Hollywood Studios make the switch even earlier, on November 4. All three overlays run through January 6, 2027.
Disney Parks announced the lineup on X Tuesday morning, calling it “an early holiday surprise,” along with a poster for each ride.

The Electric Mayhem Plays A Holiday Concert
The Muppets coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios gets the biggest change. Its overlay is billed as The Electric Mayhem Holiday Concert, with Cyndi Lauper and Jennifer Hudson listed as special guests and Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear also featured. The poster even pokes fun at itself, topping the ride logo with the words “Obligatory Holiday Overlay.”
The holiday concert runs November 4 through January 6. It is the first holiday season for the Muppets version of the ride, which replaced Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith this year and already features Electric Mayhem covers with guest appearances from Jennifer Hudson, Def Leppard, Kelly Clarkson and Questlove.
Cosmic Rewind Trades Its Original Song For Three Classics
Over at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind brings back its Holiday Remix from November 25 through January 6, three weeks after the Hollywood Studios rides make the switch. The coaster first got a holiday overlay during its debut season in 2022, when it played a single original mashup built around “Run Run Rudolph” and ran only through December 30.
This year’s version swaps that original song for three familiar recordings. The new cassette lists “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses, “Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams.
Lilypad Swaps In Holiday Tunes On Alien Swirling Saucers
Toy Story Land’s spinning ride just got a new soundtrack in September, when it became Lilypad’s Jams with music tied to Toy Story 5. Now Lilypad gets a holiday playlist too. The poster shows her screen promising “new holiday tunes” from November 4 through January 6.
The four tracks are “Toyland,” “Deck the Halls,” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers” and “Joy to the Swirl.” The last two are saucer-themed originals by title, and “Joy to the Swirl” is a clear nod to “Joy to the World.” Lilypad stays front and center on the ride’s poster art, now framed by a string of Christmas lights.
When To Ride
Guests visiting between November 4 and November 24 can hear the Muppets concert and Lilypad’s holiday songs at Hollywood Studios, but Cosmic Rewind will still be playing its usual playlist. Anyone visiting from November 25 through January 6 can catch all three overlays across two parks. Disney has not said whether any of the rides will close for the changeover.
