A Major Refurbishment Is Coming
Disneyland Paris has announced that Crush’s Coaster will close on September 7, 2026 for its most extensive refurbishment since the attraction opened. The closure is expected to last through summer 2027, according to an official announcement from Disneyland Paris.
What Is Being Refurbished?
The refurbishment is described as both technical and thematic in scope. According to the official announcement, the work will include modernization of controls, sensors, and partial retracking of the ride system, as well as repainting, relighting, and renovation of effects and scenes throughout the attraction. It is one of the most comprehensive overhauls the ride has ever received, spanning approximately ten months across two main phases.
Crush’s Coaster is one of the most beloved and technically complex attractions at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park). The spinning coaster sends guests through scenes inspired by Pixar’s Finding Nemo, and its unique spinning ride vehicle mechanism has made it both a fan favorite and a maintenance challenge over the years.
