DuckTales World Showcase Adventure will return to EPCOT in a modified format, journalist Scott Gustin reported, with more details about the updated experience to be shared later.
The version guests played since 2022 ended when Disney retired the Play Disney Parks app on September 16. The game ran through that app.

No Return Date Yet
As of September 30, Disney’s official page for the game says the experience “is currently under refurbishment and may be available in a limited format.” The page gives no return date, and Disney has not said what the modified format will be or what platform it will run on.
When Disney announced the app’s retirement in August, Gustin said he asked about the future of DuckTales World Showcase Adventure and was told there was no information to share. Star Wars: Datapad at Galaxy’s Edge was retired with the app, while Batuu Bounty Hunters continues to operate using MagicBand+ and the screens throughout the land.

How The Game Worked
DuckTales World Showcase Adventure debuted on December 16, 2022, replacing Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure. Guests used their phones to help Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby find treasures hidden in seven World Showcase pavilions: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, France and the United Kingdom. Each country had three assignments plus a finale, taking about 25 to 30 minutes.
