Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind Is Back
Good news for fans of Pixar’s Inside Out at Disney California Adventure: Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind has officially reopened after being out of service since February 27. The attraction returned to operation on June 19, 2026, giving guests at DCA a chance to spin through Riley’s emotional headquarters once again. As Disneyland News Today reported, the ride was originally slated to reopen June 18 before the date shifted by one day.

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is a spinner attraction located in the Pixar Pier area of Disney California Adventure. Themed to Pixar’s beloved Inside Out films, the ride puts guests into colorful, balloon-like Memory Movers as they swirl through a whirlwind of emotions above the shores of Paradise Bay. It’s a family-friendly experience that works well for guests of all ages, and the bright, cheerful theming makes it one of the more visually distinctive attractions on Pixar Pier.
The attraction closed in late February for what was originally posted as a brief two-day refurbishment, but the timeline quietly stretched into a closure of nearly four months. With summer in full swing at the Disneyland Resort, the timing of the reopening is welcome news for families visiting DCA over the coming weeks.
