Disneyland Resort is giving Magic Key holders a second shot at two giveaways from earlier this year. The Magic Key second chance event runs September 14 through 26 at the Hyperion Theater Courtyard in Disney California Adventure, with the Disney California Adventure Park Billboard Magnet Set and the Magic Key License Plate Frame each returning on their own set of dates.
Both items were handed out in the same courtyard when they debuted earlier in 2026, and the resort says the rerun is for passholders who missed them the first time. It comes with a virtual queue that will govern who gets in, and the same two items are the only ones on offer.
The Dates
The Billboard Magnet Set is up first, available on Monday, September 14, Wednesday, September 16, Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19. The License Plate Frame follows on Monday, September 21, Wednesday, September 23, Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26. Distribution runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on each of those days, and only one item is offered per day, so a passholder who wants both will need two visits in different weeks.
How The Virtual Queue Works
Access is through a virtual queue in the Disneyland app, and it opens at noon on each giveaway day. Magic Key holders must hold a valid park reservation for that date to join, and the queue is the only way in. As with Disneyland’s other virtual queues, passholders open the app at noon, request to join, and are assigned a return window rather than lining up in the courtyard; anyone who joins late risks finding the day’s allotment already spoken for. Passholders who hold reservations for Disneyland Park rather than Disney California Adventure should check that their reservation covers the park where the giveaway sits. The setup mirrors the way Disneyland has handled its most in-demand freebies over the past two years, with the app used to meter the line rather than letting a physical queue form in the courtyard, which sits just off Hollywood Land near the theater.
Full details of the event are on Laughing Place. Disney has not said how many of each item will be available per day. The Magic Key program currently sells four tiers, Inspire, Believe, Enchant and Imagine, and giveaways like this one are open to holders of all of them.
Elsewhere In The Park
The second chance event arrives in the middle of a changing Disney California Adventure, where the walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus recently reopened after a lengthy closure and the Avengers Campus expansion continues to reshape the back of the park.
Magic Key holders should plan on being inside Disney California Adventure, or at least logged into the app with a reservation for that park, by noon on the day they want an item.
