Magic Kingdom held on to its title as the most visited theme park on the planet in 2025, but the new theme park attendance numbers show Walt Disney World running in place while Epic Universe gave Universal a lift. The newly released 2025 TEA Global Experience Index from the Themed Entertainment Association estimates Magic Kingdom drew 17.8 million visits last year, just ahead of Disneyland at 17.4 million.
NEW: U.S. theme park attendance was largely steady in 2025, according to the TEA Global Experience Index. Disney’s six U.S. parks were flat compared to 2024, while Epic drew 4 million visits in its partial first year and helped lift combined Universal Orlando attendance.

Every Walt Disney World Park Dipped Slightly
All four Florida parks were down 0.2 percent. Magic Kingdom slipped from 17,836,000 visits to 17,800,000, EPCOT landed at 12,109,000, Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 10,312,000 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom at 8,782,000. Added together, that’s about 49 million visits, roughly 99,000 fewer than in 2024.
Disneyland Resort moved the other way. Disneyland Park grew 0.4 percent to 17,406,000, and Disney California Adventure also rose 0.4 percent to 10,090,000. Put the two coasts together and Disney’s six U.S. parks finished essentially flat with the year before.
Epic Universe Pushes Universal Orlando Higher
Universal’s two original Orlando parks actually lost ground. Universal Studios Florida fell 2.1 percent to 9.3 million and Islands of Adventure fell 2.6 percent to 9.2 million. Epic Universe, which opened in May, added 4 million visits in its partial first year and lifted Universal Orlando’s combined total.
Disney’s water parks had a much bigger swing. Typhoon Lagoon stayed the busiest water park in North America with 1,762,000 visits even after a 3 percent drop, while Blizzard Beach jumped 50.5 percent to 1,350,000. That’s because 2025 was the first year since 2019 that Disney ran both water parks at the same time, Blog Mickey noted.
Disney Parks Fill Eight Of The Global Top 10
Disney parks took eight of the ten spots on the worldwide list. After Magic Kingdom and Disneyland came Universal Studios Japan in third, then Tokyo Disneyland at 15.2 million and Shanghai Disneyland at just under 15 million. Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China was sixth, followed by Tokyo DisneySea at 12.6 million. EPCOT ranked eighth, Disneyland Park in Paris ninth and Disney’s Hollywood Studios tenth.
Globally, Disney still dominates the attendance rankings. Magic Kingdom was No. 1 worldwide with an estimated 17.8 million visits, followed by Disneyland at 17.4 million. Disney had *8* of the world’s top 10 most-visited theme parks in 2025.

Disneyland Paris posted the biggest theme park gains of any Disney resort. Both of its parks grew 5.7 percent, with Disneyland Park reaching 10.8 million visits and Walt Disney Studios Park reaching 5,919,000. Shanghai Disneyland rose 2 percent and Tokyo DisneySea 1.3 percent, while Hong Kong Disneyland was the one Disney park abroad to fall, down 3 percent to 7.7 million.
