The sellout streak at Magic Kingdom is not slowing down. With just under three weeks until Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 kicks off on Friday, August 7, the opening night of this year’s event has officially sold out, according to BlogMickey.com.
The Sellout List Keeps Growing
Opening night joins a list of unavailable dates that has been growing steadily since tickets first went on sale to the general public on May 12. Halloween night itself sold out before 9:00 AM the morning tickets became available, a record pace for the event, and the August 11 and August 14 parties followed in the weeks after. Then the cheapest dates of the season sold out, taking the lowest-priced tickets off the board entirely, and additional August and October dates have continued to disappear in the weeks since.
Opening night selling out this far in advance is a signal worth paying attention to. The first party of the season is a tradition for many local Passholders and Halloween superfans, and its popularity tends to preview how the rest of the calendar will move as the season approaches.
What This Means If You Are Still Planning
The pattern from recent years is consistent: dates do not come back once they sell out, and the parties closest to Halloween go first. Last year, every single party night of the season had sold out by late September. If your trip dates are flexible, midweek parties in September have historically been the safest bets for availability, though nothing this year is moving slowly, and remaining tickets this season range from $139 up to $229 for the priciest late-October night.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event held on select nights at Magic Kingdom, featuring the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, trick-or-treating throughout the park, and rare character appearances. Tickets for remaining dates are available through the official Walt Disney World website.
