Pardon Our Pixie Dust Returns August 25 With A Look At Disney Lakeshore Lodge

Pardon Our Pixie Dust, Walt Disney Imagineering's YouTube series

Imagineering’s behind the scenes series is coming back. The next episode of Walt Disney Imagineering’s Pardon Our Pixie Dust YouTube series arrives on Tuesday, August 25, and it will feature a look at Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the resort currently taking shape at Walt Disney World.

Imagineering Opens The Curtain Again

The announcement came in a playful teaser on Imagineering’s Instagram, which offers a quick glimpse of a large themed wooden structure next to one of the resort’s water slides before an Imagineer catches the camera sneaking around and jokes about how the viewer got behind the construction walls. The series debuted on April 21 with a tour of Lakeshore Lodge, the Muppets retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, then returned on June 4 with Monstropolis, The Magic of Disney Animation and the Disney Magic’s dry dock. In two episodes it has become one of the best windows into how Walt Disney Imagineering actually works, following projects from blue sky concept through construction. Episodes are available on the official Walt Disney Imagineering YouTube channel.

Why Lakeshore Lodge Matters

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is one of the most anticipated resort projects at Walt Disney World, a Disney Vacation Club property rising along the shores of Bay Lake near Fort Wilderness on the former River Country site, and slated to open in summer 2027. The teaser’s water slide glimpse hints the episode may dig into The Wetlands, the resort’s sprawling outdoor recreation area. The first episode showed guest room hallways already receiving paint and finishes, so a dedicated episode suggests construction has reached a point where Imagineering is ready to show real progress.

It Lands Nine Days After D23

The timing is the interesting part. The episode arrives nine days after D23 wrapped in Anaheim, where the show floor was the largest in the event’s history and the Horizons showcase emptied most of Imagineering’s slate at once. Tomorrowland’s reimagining, Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, the two Piston Peak attractions, Monstropolis at Hollywood Studios and the Journey Into Imagination update with Figment and Dreamfinder all became official across that weekend.

Lakeshore Lodge was not among the headline attraction reveals, which makes a dedicated episode about it the first substantial Imagineering content since the announcements landed. Whether the episode was recut to acknowledge any of the D23 slate is unknown, and Disney has not said.
