Fans of one of Magic Kingdom’s most charming meet-and-greet experiences have reason to celebrate. Pete’s Silly Sideshow, the unique Storybook Circus attraction where guests can meet classic Disney characters in the style of a traveling circus, officially reopened on June 26, 2026, a day ahead of its announced date of June 27, after being closed since January for refurbishment.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow Is Back
The attraction has been closed since January while crews installed a new tent roof and refreshed the building’s exterior. During the closure, Disney continued offering character meets by relocating Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy to temporary outdoor locations in Storybook Circus. With the attraction now back open, all four characters have returned indoors to their beloved circus-themed costumes and air-conditioned queues, a welcome relief for families visiting in Florida’s summer heat.
Operating hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. One note: nearby Big Top Souvenirs remains closed and does not yet have a reopening date.
What To Expect At Pete’s Silly Sideshow
The attraction features two separate queues, allowing guests to meet multiple characters during a single visit. Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy all appear in their exclusive circus-performer costumes. The circus theming creates an immersive experience that feels distinct from any other character greeting location in the park, and for families with young children especially, it is a highlight of any Magic Kingdom day.
The timing is also significant for the fall season. Pete’s Silly Sideshow hosts character meets during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so having the venue fully operational ahead of those events is great news for guests planning seasonal visits later this year.
