Shanghai Disneyland is throwing Mickey and Minnie a 10-day birthday party this year. The resort announced Tuesday that it runs November 9 through 18, ending on their birthday, with the pair in a different outfit from the resort’s first 10 years every day.
It’s part of the resort’s 10th Birthday Celebration, which kicked off March 20.
Ten Days, Ten Looks
Each day, Mickey and Minnie will appear at the clock tower in a different look from the resort’s first decade. Shanghai Disney Resort hasn’t said which outfits are coming back or in what order.
At night, Enchanted Storybook Castle gets a special birthday projection show capped with Mickey-head fireworks.
A Birthday Party At The Castle On November 18
On November 18, Mickey and Minnie will celebrate with guests in front of the castle. The date marks the 1928 premiere of Steamboat Willie, which Disney counts as both of their birthdays.
The resort is also adding daily band performances, birthday food, exclusive merchandise and a special ticket package. Prices and menus haven’t been announced.
It joins the anniversary’s bigger additions: The Heart of Magic on the expanded castle stage, a Zootopia unit in Mickey’s Storybook Express and a Wish segment in Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration.
Bigger Than Before
The park threw the pair week-long birthday parties in 2024 and 2025, both running November 12 to 18. In 2024, Mickey and Minnie wore red-and-black outfits covered in confetti, gold ribbon and party hats, the Shanghai Disney Band added a birthday moment to its castle stage show, and a birthday projection show with fireworks followed the nightly spectacular. This year adds three days and a new outfit for each one.
The park’s actual 10th anniversary was June 16.
