Super Troopers 3 is pulling over onto Hulu. Searchlight Pictures’ latest Broken Lizard comedy starts streaming on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers on Thursday, November 5, Laughing Place reports, three months after it opened in theaters on August 7.
If you want to catch up first, the first two movies are already there. Super Troopers and Super Troopers 2 are both streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ now, so the whole trilogy will sit in one place once the new film lands.
What Super Troopers 3 Is About
The Broken Lizard crew is back in uniform, a quarter century after the first film came out in 2001. This time the trouble starts at home. Farva gets engaged to Thorny’s sister, and the engagement spirals out of control as Thorny schemes to break the couple up. The troopers have to juggle that mess while trying to crack a drug ring, all to save the day, and maybe the wedding.
Jay Chandrasekhar directs again, and the core five return: Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske. Brian Cox and Marisa Coughlan are back, and the cast also includes Lynda Carter, Nat Faxon, Chace Crawford, Andrew Dismukes, Hannah Simone and Rory Scovel, with Will Sasso voicing an electric car.
Report For Duty At LA Comic Con
Before the movie hits streaming, fans in Southern California can step into it. A Super Troopers 3 activation runs at LA Comic Con at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. The three-day setup puts visitors into a scene from the film, with exclusive giveaways, and members of Broken Lizard are scheduled to stop by on Friday.
If you are headed to the convention anyway, Friday is the day to go if you want a shot at meeting the guys who have been playing these Vermont state troopers since the first movie.
A Searchlight Sequel Run
The original Super Troopers followed a group of prank-happy Vermont troopers trying to keep their station from being shut down over budget cuts, until a real drug-smuggling case lands in their laps. It became a cult favorite, and the second film followed years later. Super Troopers 3 keeps that formula going.
It is not the only Searchlight sequel bringing back familiar faces, either. The Families Stone has ten original cast members returning for Searchlight’s sequel, with Jean Smart joining the cast.
