Marvel Entertainment posted the first three WandaVision episodes as free, full-length videos on its official YouTube channel on Oct. 1, less than two weeks before Marvel Television’s VisionQuest premieres on Disney+.
Episode 1 went up first, with Episodes 2 and 3 following later in the day. Each video is titled in the format “Marvel Studios’ WandaVision S1E1 | Full Episode | Disney+ Original Series,” with the episode number changing. The batch covers Episode 1, “Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience”; Episode 2, “Don’t Touch That Dial”; and Episode 3, “Now in Color.”
Marvel has not said whether the remaining six episodes of the nine-episode season will follow on YouTube. The full season remains on Disney+, where VisionQuest will also stream.
What The Free Episodes Cover
WandaVision premiered on Disney+ on Jan. 15, 2021, with Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision. Marvel describes the show as “a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe” in which the two “super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives” begin to suspect “that everything is not as it seems.” Marvel’s VisionQuest trailer announcement sums it up this way: “A grieving Wanda Maximoff conjured a new Vision and life in a world that wasn’t real.”
The three free episodes cover the show’s opening stretch. Episode 1 introduces the newlyweds in Westview in a black-and-white setting that recalls 1950s and 1960s sitcoms, Episode 2 moves to a 1960s setting, and Episode 3 shifts to full color as the show reaches the 1970s.
VisionQuest Arrives October 14
Spoiler warning: This section discusses plot details from VisionQuest.
VisionQuest is streaming Oct. 14 with a two-episode premiere on Disney+. Marvel Television set that date in May at Disney’s 2026 Upfront presentation in New York City, and the series marks the final installment in the trilogy that began with 2021’s WandaVision and continued with 2024’s Agatha All Along. Terry Matalas, whose credits include Star Trek: Picard, serves as showrunner.
Bettany returns as Vision, and James Spader reprises his role as Ultron from 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the latest trailer for the series, a mysterious boy known as Thomas Shepherd, played by Ruaridh Mollica, appears on Vision’s radar. Marvel describes the former Avenger working with Ultron to unravel the enigma surrounding the boy, who may be his reincarnated son. In the series, the rebuilt and rebooted Vision possesses “all of his former self’s memories, but none of his virtue.”
