Pixar has a new film in the works called Gatto, and its first teaser will debut in theaters before Toy Story 5 screenings when the film opens June 19. It is a classic Pixar move: using a blockbuster opening weekend to introduce a future project to the biggest possible audience.
No plot details, release date, or creative team have been announced for Gatto yet. The title is the Italian word for cat, which may hint at the film’s subject matter or setting. Pixar has a long history of attaching future project teasers to current films, going back to the original Toy Story.
Disney Has A Big Trailer Week Planned
This is also a big week for Disney and Marvel more broadly. Per insider Daniel RPK, Disney is planning to release new trailers nearly every day this week. At least one is described as a major release. Given that Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s second trailer recently leaked and X-Men ’97 Season 2 is confirmed for July, both are strong candidates for an official marketing push this week. Keep an eye out.
