Jay-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which puts the rapper at the center of the biggest night ESPN and ABC have planned in years. It became official Monday evening.

“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a statement shared with Variety. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

Why This Is A Disney Story

Super Bowl LXI is a Disney broadcast. The game is ESPN’s first Super Bowl production ever and ABC’s first since 2006, and the company has been building toward it all year. The halftime show will air on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, so it will be on every major Disney screen that night, and ESPN’s Spanish-language telecast will also be available on ESPN Deportes and Disney+.

Jay-Z has a unique role in the booking. His company, Roc Nation, has been the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist since 2019 and will executive produce the show, with Hamish Hamilton directing. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that when the league first reached its deal with Roc Nation, he had “just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him.”

More Ways To Watch On February 14

Families who would rather watch cartoons than linebackers have an option too. Disney+ is also streaming Star Wars Funday Football, an animated version of Super Bowl LXI, the same day.

No guest performers, set list or production details have been announced for the halftime show yet. Expect more of those to roll out over the coming months as ESPN and ABC ramp up promotion ahead of kickoff. Super Bowl Sunday falls on Valentine’s Day this time, so the halftime show will land right in the middle of dinner plans for plenty of fans.

For Disney, the halftime booking gives its first Super Bowl since 2006 a headliner with three decades of hits behind him, and a show that will stream on Disney+ alongside the game itself.
