Disneyland’s November 3 Kingdom Hearts Pin Release Will Use A Virtual Queue

Disney Pins release details sign for the November 3, 2026 Kingdom Hearts pin virtual queue at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort’s November 3 pin release, which includes the latest Kingdom Hearts pin, will run on a virtual queue. Collectors will need to join it through the Disneyland app that morning to get into Disney’s Pin Traders at Downtown Disney District, and there will be no standby line while the virtual queue is open.

Disney laid out the rules on its Disneyland merchandise events page. Every pin in the November 3 release, the Kingdom Hearts pin included, will be sold at Disney’s Pin Traders, and the queue opens at 5 a.m. Pacific.

November’s pin is the Oathkeeper keyblade. It sits over a pink glitter Kingdom Hearts heart, with a pink flower charm hanging from the chain, on a Limited Edition backer card.

How The Virtual Queue Works

You have to be within 60 miles of Downtown Disney District to join, so this is not something you can do from home if you live out of the area. Each guest can try to join only once, using their own My Disney account. You cannot join as a party, and boarding passes cannot be linked or shared.

If you get in, the app gives you a boarding group. When your group is called, you will get a notification to head to Disney’s Pin Traders and scan the QR code in the app to enter the store. A valid virtual queue confirmation is required to buy anything during the virtual queue redemption hours.

Boarding groups are limited, and Disney is clear that a spot in the queue does not guarantee you will be able to buy the pin you came for. Distribution times can change. If any merchandise is left once the virtual queue wraps up, Disney may open a standby line later in the day, though some items could sell out before that happens. Anything that remains is sold while supplies last and could turn up at other locations later.

Why Collectors Needed This

Anyone who was at the October 6 Pintastic Tuesday release, the last time Kingdom Hearts pins dropped at the resort, knows why this change matters. We were in that line, and before 4:30 a.m. it already stretched down Harbor Boulevard almost to Disney Way.

Getting there that early still wasn’t enough. We didn’t get the pin we came for, the Kingdom Hearts Nightmare Before Christmas keyblade. And while we waited, we watched dozens of people who showed up after us walk up and join friends who were already further ahead. Disneyland security had monitored the line for about a month to stop that kind of cutting, and then stopped.

A virtual queue came up that same morning, when a reader replied that the crowd might push pin Tuesday onto one. We said we’d take it.

Disney hasn’t said why it moved the November release to a virtual queue. But the rules take care of both problems. Nobody has to be on Harbor Boulevard in the middle of the night to have a shot, and nobody can hold a place for friends who roll in later, since parties can’t join together and boarding passes can’t be shared.

Plan For An Early Morning

With the queue opening at 5 a.m., this is still an early start. Downtown Disney District is scheduled to open at 7 a.m. that day, and the Simba Parking Lot opens at 6 a.m., Laughing Place reported from Downtown Disney’s merchandise update.

This is not the first merchandise virtual queue of the fall. Disney used the same system earlier this month for the Disney Lorcana Hyperia City release at both Downtown Disney and Disney Springs.

Check the Disneyland app before November 3 for virtual queue availability and distribution times.
