Lilypad’s Jams Soundtrack Is Now Streaming, Minus The Taylor Swift Song

Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Lilypad’s Jams soundtrack has made it out of the backyard. Walt Disney Records released the music from Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as a nine-song album on streaming services on Friday, October 30. It runs just under 18 minutes, short enough to play start to finish on the drive to the park.

The new soundtrack arrived with the ride’s September 25 relaunch. Lilypad, the frog-shaped smart tablet from Toy Story 5, plays DJ inside the attraction, and Disney says Imagineers recorded the music in Nashville across pop, country, EDM and alt-rock. Until now, the only way to hear it was on the ride or standing nearby in Toy Story Land.

The Lilypad’s Jams Track List

Most songs finish in under three minutes, and only We Belong Together runs longer. Here is the album in streaming order, as Blog Mickey laid it out:

  • You’ve Got a Friend in Me, Jamison Ross (1:27)
  • Spin It Back (Lilypad), Cora Castle (2:44)
  • Partysaurus Rex Anthem, Desz (1:30)
  • We Belong Together, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph and John Michael Rouchell (3:51)
  • Pizza Planet Promo, Gleedsville (1:32)
  • I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away, John Michael Rouchell (2:03)
  • Woody’s Roundup Remix, John Michael Rouchell (1:37)
  • Hay Un Amigo En Mi, Pablo Amat (1:33)
  • Buzz Beats!, Christoph Andersson (1:26)

Two of those were written for the attraction. Pizza Planet Promo works as the in-story theme for the Pizza Planet arcade, and Spin It Back (Lilypad) is a tribute to the newest toy in the backyard. Hay Un Amigo En Mi is the Spanish version of You’ve Got a Friend in Me.

What You Still Have To Ride For

One song from the ride did not make the album. Taylor Swift’s instrumental I Knew It, I Knew You, the surprise track that turns up at random on the ride, is not part of the release, so catching it still means riding and hoping you land on the right cycle.

The holiday music is not on the album either. From November 4 through January 6, Alien Swirling Saucers brings in four seasonal songs: Toyland, Deck the Halls, Swirling, Swirling, Saucers and Joy to the Swirl. Disney has not said whether those will be released on their own.

For anyone planning a Hollywood Studios trip this holiday season, that makes the timing a little interesting. The album gives you the year-round soundtrack at home, while the ride itself adds its holiday songs for much of the next two months.
