The photos follow Shanghai Disney Resort’s announcement of the opening date. As we reported, the Enchanted Star Hotel opens December 16, with bookings starting November 6.
A Sorcerer Mickey Welcome In The Lobby
In the lobby, a golden statue of Sorcerer Mickey stands with his arms outstretched in front of a tall arched window, framed by white columns trimmed in gold. Small stars are worked into the columns and the domed ceiling above, and a delicate chandelier hangs overhead. It fits the hotel’s theme, which draws on the Wishing Star.
Shanghai officials have described the hotel’s design as a blend of the city’s architectural heritage and Art Nouveau style. The resort’s two original hotels both opened with the park in 2016, so this is the first new hotel lobby Shanghai Disney Resort guests will walk into in nearly a decade.
A Hundred Acre Wood Play Area, Pool And Restaurant
Younger guests get a play area themed to the Hundred Acre Wood. The photo shows a treehouse built into a big leafy tree, a grinning Tigger on its trunk, and Piglet and Eeyore floating overhead on balloons among hanging clouds.
The pool sits under a long skylight, with a large free-form swimming area, an arched footbridge across the water and a wall of tall arched windows looking out at the greenery. Loungers line the deck.
Enchanted Seasons Restaurant leans into rich color. The dining room mixes curved red and blue booths with smaller tables, and a chandelier made of glowing globes rises toward a painted tree mural on the ceiling.
What To Know Before Booking
The Enchanted Star Hotel is the resort’s third hotel, joining Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel. It sits next to Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, and the new property will have views of both Shanghai Disneyland and Wishing Star Park.
Reservations open November 6, so anyone hoping to stay during the hotel’s first weeks will want to be ready when booking starts. The Enchanted Star adds roughly 400 rooms, along with its own pool, a play space for kids and a full restaurant.
