ESPN and the V Foundation for Cancer Research are once again turning ESPYS Week into a fundraising powerhouse. The organizations have announced the return of the annual ESPYS Week Charity Auction, running July 8 through 15 exclusively on eBay, offering fans the chance to bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences and exclusive memorabilia while funding vital cancer research, per the ESPN Press Room.
A New Live Auction And Standout Packages
New this year is an hour-long live auction broadcast on eBay LIVE on July 10 from 8 to 9 p.m. ET, hosted by SportsCenter anchors Madelyn Burke and Treavor Scales, spotlighting more than 30 premium items. The full seven-day auction features roughly 50 packages, and the lineup is stacked with Disney and ESPN experiences. Highlights include a VIP experience at the 2026 ESPYS as a guest of host Marcello Hernandez, two VIP tickets to WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, tickets to the live finale of Dancing With The Stars, and a pair of four-day passes to the sold-out Star Wars Celebration marking the franchise’s 50th anniversary.
A Cause Decades In The Making
The auction benefits the V Foundation, founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, which has funded more than $458 million in cancer research grants and awards 100 percent of direct donations to research thanks to an endowment covering its administrative costs. ESPN has helped raise more than $292 million for the foundation over the past three decades. The auction coincides with the 2026 ESPYS, airing Wednesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming on the ESPN App. For more on Disney’s sports arm, revisit our coverage of Disney and Formula 1 supporting Make-A-Wish.
