Din Tai Fung has something special brewing at the Disneyland Resort. The famed dumpling destination has launched the Little Red Dragon, a brand new cocktail exclusive to its Downtown Disney District location as of July 14.
Smoky, Sweet, And Made With Signature Chili Oil
The Little Red Dragon is crafted with Din Tai Fung’s signature chili oil infused Ilegal Mezcal, shaken with bright pineapple, fresh lime, and agave, then finished with a sesame Tajin rim for a balance of smoky, sweet, and citrusy heat. Described by the restaurant as a bold, spicy meets tropical drink inspired by “a little dragon with a big kick,” it pairs well with the Fried Noodles with Skirt Steak, according to Din Tai Fung. What makes the drink especially notable is its exclusivity. Din Tai Fung typically serves the same beverage menu across all of its locations, so a cocktail created just for Downtown Disney is a rare treat for Disneyland Resort guests.
Downtown Disney’s Dining Scene Keeps Leveling Up
The exclusive cocktail arrives as the Downtown Disney District continues its transformation into one of Southern California’s premier dining destinations. Din Tai Fung, which celebrated its second anniversary at the district this year, has been one of its most popular tenants since opening, and the neighborhood around it keeps evolving, most recently with Jamba closing to make way for Bopo Go.
The Little Red Dragon is available now at Din Tai Fung at the Downtown Disney District. No theme park ticket is required to visit, though reservations for the restaurant are strongly recommended.
