Peg-Leg Pete makes his Shanghai Disneyland debut on September 30, and he will join the park’s Halloween season in a limited-edition look starting October 4, Shanghai Disney Resort announced.
The resort introduced the character as “New friend Pete,” with a twist on his usual role. “Once a classic troublemaker, Pete is turning over a new leaf and transforming into a warm gentleman!” the post reads.
When And Where To Find Pete
From September 30 to October 3, the resort says guests “might just catch Pete on Mickey Avenue for photos and fun interactions.”
On October 4, Pete joins the Disney Halloween Time costume showcase, with three performances on opening day. From October 4 to November 1, he will appear on Mickey Avenue in what the resort calls his “exclusive Halloween Time limited-edition look.”
Pete’s Halloween Role As An Evil King
The Halloween costume ties to the role the resort set out for Pete in August. “Making his debut this autumn is Peg-Leg Pete, who will join the Halloween lineup as an evil king ready to add more mischief to the season,” Shanghai Disney Resort’s August 20 press release reads.
He will share the season with Mickey and Friends, who are taking on a steampunk-style look, and Duffy and Friends, who are dressing as a whimsical bard troupe. Halloween at the park follows Duffy Month, which runs through September 30.
What Else Is Part Of Halloween At Shanghai Disneyland
Halloween runs at Shanghai Disney Resort from October 4 to November 1. The season adds a daytime edition of Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade, with Disney Villains taking the spotlight, and guests in Halloween looks may be selected to follow Donald Duck and Daisy Duck through the procession. Disney Villains also appear in a series of immersive experiences across the park.
The resort’s Spook-tacular Days expand to ten dates this year: October 16 to 18, October 23 to 25, and October 29 to November 1. Those days bring five Party Zones, surprise encounters in the Alice in Wonderland Maze, Donald’s Halloween Treat Party at Festival Forest, treat collecting across the resort and the Disney Villains Castle Celebration in front of Enchanted Storybook Castle.
In the Zootopia-themed land, Judy, Nick and the land’s residents host the annual Howl-o-ween celebration with daily 10-minute Mark Howling sessions and Blue Howling Drinks. The season also overlaps with the Mid-Autumn Festival and China’s Golden Week holiday. Outside the park, Disneytown adds a trick-or-treat trail and a Halloween Market.
