Marvel’s Zodiac has its writers. Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem, the Israeli duo behind Hulu’s No Man’s Land, have been set to write the live-action spy series for Disney+, Deadline reports.

The news also brings the first real hint of a story. Zodiac will follow a pair of spies chasing targets who have special abilities, which is a lot more than Marvel offered when it put the title on screen at New York Comic Con on October 8. That panel came with a logo, a 2028 premiere window and little else.
Who Amit Cohen And Ron Leshem Are
Leshem created the Israeli series Euphoria, the show HBO later remade with Zendaya, and he is an executive producer on the HBO version as well. He and Cohen have worked as a team for years, creating and producing a run of Israeli dramas that includes Bad Boy, 8200, Red Skies, Trust No One and Traitor.
For American audiences, the pair created No Man’s Land, the Hulu drama that premiered in 2020. It follows a man who goes to Syria to find his sister and ends up alongside the Kurdish women fighting ISIS, so war zones and dangerous targets are not new territory for them.
What We Know About Zodiac So Far
Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum told the NYCC crowd that Zodiac will start shooting in London in the spring, with casting about to begin, Variety reported. That puts production in 2027, a year ahead of the Disney+ premiere. No cast has been announced, and Marvel still has not said which characters the show will use.
Comic fans will recognize the name. In the comics, Zodiac is a criminal cartel of 12 members built around the astrological signs, and Zodiac figures such as Scorpio also turned up in Jonathan Hickman’s Nick Fury series Secret Warriors. A story about spies hunting people with powers could draw on either, but Marvel has not tied the show to any specific comic.
Where It Fits On Marvel’s TV Slate
Zodiac is arriving as several of Marvel’s live-action shows wind down. VisionQuest, now releasing weekly on Disney+, closes out the trilogy that began with WandaVision. Daredevil: Born Again will end with its third season next year, and Disney+ reversed Wonder Man‘s Season 2 renewal. With its writers in place, Zodiac now has a team to build the story before cameras roll in London.
