Walt Disney World has extended park hours at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on three dates in mid-November. The changes are now on Disney’s park calendar and cover Sunday, November 15, Monday, November 16, and Saturday, November 21, with earlier openings at two parks and later closings at two.
The biggest shift is at Animal Kingdom on November 15. The park still opens an hour later than usual that morning, at 9:00 a.m., but it now stays open until 8:00 p.m. instead of 6:00 p.m. Guests who were planning around the late opening now get two extra hours in the evening instead.
Magic Kingdom Gets The Most Changes
Magic Kingdom picks up an earlier start on Sunday, November 15. The park now opens at 8:00 a.m., with Early Theme Park Entry at 7:30 a.m., an hour ahead of the 9:00 a.m. opening Disney listed before. Closing stays at 6:00 p.m. because Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes over at 7:00 p.m., and that party night has already sold out.
Two later dates gain an hour at night. Magic Kingdom now closes at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, and Saturday, November 21, instead of 10:00 p.m. If you have been trying to fit fireworks and a few more rides into one night that week, those are the two evenings to target.
Animal Kingdom And Hollywood Studios
Beyond the November 15 change, Animal Kingdom also closes an hour later on Saturday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m. rather than 6:00 p.m.
Hollywood Studios moves the other way on November 21, opening earlier instead of closing later. The park now opens at 8:30 a.m., with Early Theme Park Entry at 8:00 a.m., half an hour earlier than before. Day guests still need to leave at 7:00 p.m. that night, when Disney Jollywood Nights begins. Blog Mickey, which compared the new hours against the old listings, notes that November 21 joins November 7 and 14 as the only dates so far with the 8:30 a.m. opening.
