Atlantic Dance Hall is done as a regular nightclub. Disney’s page for the venue at Disney’s BoardWalk now says that beginning Oct. 1, Atlantic Dance Hall will end its regular weekend operations.
The space itself is not going away. Disney says Atlantic Dance Hall will continue to be available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.
The Last Public Weekend
Disney has not named a final public night. The club opens at 8 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and Disney’s schedule for this week lists it open Friday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27.
Because Oct. 1 falls on a Thursday, that is the last weekend on the calendar before the change takes effect. Disney has not said directly that Sept. 27 will be the final night.
What Atlantic Dance Hall Is
Disney describes Atlantic Dance Hall as a stylish nightclub where guests dance to hits from the ’80s, ’90s and today, in an Art Deco ballroom with balconies over Crescent Lake. It is open only to guests 21 and older.
LaughingPlace first reported the change on Monday. Disney has not given a reason for ending regular hours.
A Busy Month On The BoardWalk
The same date brings something new to the BoardWalk promenade. Hurly-Burly opens on October 1, adding a walk-up spot to the waterfront on the day Atlantic Dance Hall stops opening its doors to the public.
