The wait is almost over. After being teased all the way back in late 2024, Disney has finally locked in the details for Bluey’s debut at Walt Disney World and it’s arriving soon.
The Opening Date
Bluey’s Wild World will open on May 26, 2026, at Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as part of Cool Kids’ Summer. Notably, the experience is confirmed to stay beyond Cool Kids’ Summer, suggesting Bluey’s Wild World is a longer-term addition to the park rather than a seasonal event.
What Is Bluey’s Wild World?
Guests will board the Wildlife Express Train to begin their Australian adventure. At Conservation Station, they can play special games directly from Bluey episodes, grab a photo with Bluey and Bingo, and discover animals native to Australia at Jumping Junction.
Games from Bluey episodes will get a fun animal twist, like butterfly Keepy Uppy, and guests can play, dance, and snap photos alongside the Blue Heeler sisters.
Virtual Queue Details
Due to expected high demand, Bluey’s Wild World (including the Wildlife Express Train ride, the main interactive experience at Conservation Station, Jumping Junction, and related animal areas) will use a virtual queue at launch with no standby line initially. Guests can join via the My Disney Experience app during two daily windows: 7:00 a.m. (valid admission and park reservation required, but you do not need to be inside the park) or 10:00 a.m. (must be inside Animal Kingdom). Disney plans to add a standby option later once initial crowds stabilize.
Jumping Junction (Formerly Affection Section)
One of the more significant changes tied to Bluey’s Wild World: the Affection Section petting zoo area is being renamed Jumping Junction and will now house animals native to Bluey’s home country of Australia. Fans are already speculating that this could mean kangaroos or wallabies making their way to the park.
How Did We Get Here?
Rafiki’s Planet Watch closed on February 23, 2026, for refurbishment to make way for the Bluey-themed experience, with the Affection Section closing along with it. On March 12, 2026, Disney officially confirmed the May 26 opening date as part of the Cool Kids’ Summer announcement.
The Food
Disney has already teased at least one Australia-inspired treat hitting the park on opening day. The Fairy Bread Cake, available at Pizzafari starting May 26, is a riff on fairy bread, a popular kids’ party snack in Australia made with buttered bread and sprinkles. Disney’s version is a vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, served with a raspberry dipping sauce. More food items are expected to be announced before Bluey’s Wild World opens.
What About Disneyland?
WDW isn’t the only park getting Bluey love this year. Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre transformed into Bluey’s school for “Bluey’s Best Day Ever,” which opened on March 22, 2026. Throughout the day, Bluey and Bingo take the stage alongside comedic actors and musicians, bringing games and music from the show to life, including Keepy Uppy and adventures in a life-sized gnome village or fairy garden.
And Disney Cruise Line
Select domestic Disney Cruise Line sailings are also getting in on the fun in 2026, with Bluey and Bingo appearing for greetings, dance parties, and a lively morning celebration called Wakey Wakey.
The Bigger Picture for Animal Kingdom
The placement of Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is being widely noted as a deliberate strategic move. Conservation Station is a quieter, less-visited corner of the park, but placing one of the most beloved IPs in the world there could make it one of the busiest areas in Animal Kingdom practically overnight. For a park that’s been in need of fresh, family-friendly programming, the timing couldn’t be better.
May 26 is right around the corner. This one is going to move fast for anyone planning a summer WDW trip.
