Construction has moved far enough along that the Avengers Campus balcony beneath the Quinjet is open to characters and shows again. Doctor Strange is also appearing regularly at the Ancient Sanctum once more, Tustin Raider shared from Disney California Adventure on October 16. He said it had been a while since he had seen Strange there.
Construction has progressed enough at Avengers Campus that characters and shows can now use the balcony beneath the Quinjet again. Also Doctor Strange now appears regularly again at the Ancient Sanctum; it’s been a while since I’ve seen him there:

His post includes photos and a video from the visit. The balcony sits on the Avengers Headquarters building, right under the Quinjet parked on its roof. It is a favorite spot for catching heroes up above the crowd, like the April 2024 moment above when Doctor Strange and Shang-Chi stepped out together. Shang-Chi has turned up there over the years, and the Dora Milaje were back up on it in Tustin Raider’s video.
Doctor Strange Is Back At The Ancient Sanctum
At the Ancient Sanctum, guests explore the ruins of a mysterious sanctum that Doctor Strange revealed to the world. He performs Mysteries of the Mystic Arts there, showing off his spells in front of the ruins. The show has played at the Ancient Sanctum since 2021, the year Avengers Campus opened. Check the Disneyland app on the day you go for current times.
Why Avengers Campus Is Under Construction
The work is part of an expansion that will double the size of Avengers Campus and add two attractions in 2028. Avengers Infinity Defense will have Ms. Marvel briefing new recruits for a fight against King Thanos, and Stark Flight Lab will seat riders in two-person pods that a robot arm whirls through a simulated flight, with Tony Stark along for the ride. The walkway between Avengers Campus and Cars Land, closed for the work in 2025, has already reopened with the new Take-A-Brake restrooms. Disneyland has also assembled a test and adjust team for the expansion.
Construction walls still line parts of the land, and Tustin Raider’s photo shows them running right below Avengers Headquarters, with the balcony open above.
