Columbia Harbour House is getting new seafood platters next week. Starting Wednesday, October 28, the Liberty Square quick-service spot at Magic Kingdom will serve a new Beer-battered Fish Platter, a Hand-breaded Shrimp Platter and a plant-based Crab Cake Sandwich, along with a reimagined Boston Cream Pie for dessert.
Columbia Harbour House is a seafood counter tucked into a colonial-style building in Liberty Square, and this update gives its menu two new fried seafood plates and a meatless sandwich. That makes it an easier stop for groups who don’t all want the same thing.
The New Platters
The two platters lean into what the restaurant already does best. The Beer-battered Fish Platter and the Hand-breaded Shrimp Platter are both listed as new, and Disney’s photos of the dishes, shared by BlogMickey, show thick golden fish fillets and a pile of breaded shrimp, each served over French fries in a paper tray.
The Crab Cake Sandwich is the one to watch for anyone eating plant-based. It is a crab cake patty on a toasted bun with tomato, shredded lettuce and a creamy sauce, served with fries. It gives Columbia Harbour House a meatless entree that still fits the seafood theme of the place.
A Reworked Boston Cream Pie
Dessert is getting attention too. The Boston Cream Pie returns in a reimagined version made with yellow cake, Boston cream and chocolate ganache. In Disney’s photo it is built as two rounds of golden cake around a layer of pale cream, topped with a swirl of dark ganache and crumbs.
It is a fitting dessert for the location. Boston Cream Pie is a New England classic, and Columbia Harbour House leans hard on that New England seafaring setting, from its name to its dining rooms.
What To Know Before You Go
Disney has not released prices for the new items yet, so plan on finding those out at the register or in the My Disney Experience app once the dishes arrive on October 28. Columbia Harbour House also takes mobile orders, so you can order ahead from the app and skip the counter line.
