The D-Groovationz4 Live opens Wednesday, September 30, at Showbase in Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland, and it brings two characters to a Tokyo Disney Resort stage for the first time: Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph and Baymax from Big Hero 6. The full title is “The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour.”
The show held a press preview on September 29, the day before its official start, according to Travel Watch. Tokyo Disney blogger MezzoMiki posted photos of Baymax on stage from that preview.

What Happens In The Show
The show is built as a concert: The D-Groovationz4, a vocal and dance group, puts on a live performance to share the power of music, and Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy perform alongside them. The cast totals 16 performers, four vocalists and 12 dancers, according to the Oriental Land Company announcement.
Vanellope and Baymax appear in scenes inspired by their films. The soundtrack mixes original songs with new arrangements of familiar Disney music, and the characters wear new costumes in silver, iridescent and purple tones, with a costume change for the finale.
The audience is part of the staging. Live cameras put parts of the venue on the stage screens, and guests are invited to wave towels or handkerchiefs along with the music. The show runs about 25 minutes. The official schedule lists five performances a day on opening day and most days through October, starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending with a 6:50 p.m. show, with four performances on October 2. Because Showbase is indoors, it plays even on rainy days.
How To Get A Seat
Guests can try for a free seat through an Entry Request in the Tokyo Disney Resort app, according to the official show page, which also notes that standby seating may be offered depending on capacity. Disney Premier Access costs ¥2,500 (about $16) per performance on the resort’s Premier Access price list. Separate viewing areas are set aside for Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package guests and, through November 30, for eligible Funderful Disney fan club members. The show page also warns that the performance includes strong flashing lights.
A New Era For Showbase
The D-Groovationz4 Live replaces Club Mouse Beat, which debuted at Showbase in July 2021 and gave its final performance on March 31, 2026. The new show and its September 30 start date were announced on March 23.
Vanellope’s arrival also comes ahead of a bigger Tomorrowland project. Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, a new Wreck-It Ralph attraction, is set to open in spring 2027 as part of Oriental Land’s overhaul of the land.
Another new stage show is already on the way, with Bring The Rhythm! following at Tokyo DisneySea in autumn 2027.
