Tokyo DisneySea will fill its empty Broadway Music Theatre with a new stage show called Bring the Rhythm! in autumn 2027. Oriental Land Co., which owns and operates Tokyo Disney Resort, announced the show on September 17 and put its investment at about 10 billion yen, more than $60 million.
The show will run about 25 minutes. No specific opening date has been set inside the autumn 2027 window.
What Bring The Rhythm! Is
Oriental Land describes Bring the Rhythm! as a new stage show that moves through the streets of a big city. It is built on a traditional Broadway style, with music rearranged for the production.
The show will have live singers and live musicians, and Disney characters will dance alongside a company of dancers. Lighting and video effects are part of the staging, with the goal of making guests feel as though they are traveling through the city with the performers.
The Broadway Music Theatre sits in American Waterfront, the port of Tokyo DisneySea themed to early 20th century New York.
The Theater Has Been Dark Since Big Band Beat Closed
Bring the Rhythm! is the first new show announced for the theater since Big Band Beat ended its run. The swing revue opened on July 14, 2006, for Tokyo DisneySea’s fifth anniversary and closed on September 30, 2025, after running in a modified form called Big Band Beat: A Special Treat from 2021.
Big Band Beat was a swing jazz revue that ended with Mickey Mouse on the drums.
When it closed, Oriental Land said a new program for the Broadway Music Theatre would be announced later. By the time Bring the Rhythm! debuts, the theater will have gone about two years without a resident show.

The announcement came three days after Aquatopia closed at Tokyo DisneySea on September 14 after 25 years.
Oriental Land has not said which Disney characters will appear.
