The Magic Happens floats are heading back to Disneyland! Disney Parks shared a video Saturday of the parade’s floats being towed through the streets of Anaheim at night on their way to the park, ahead of the parade’s return in summer 2027.

In a follow-up post, Disney repeated the timing: Magic Happens returns to Disneyland park just in time for summer 2027. No specific date has been announced.
A Rare Look At The Convoy
The 27-second clip opens with a cast member promising a look at something not many people get to see. From there, the floats roll through city streets under streetlights, escorted by vehicles with flashing lights and parade support crews.
The Coco float and its bridge of orange marigolds is one of the first to pass. Cinderella’s golden pumpkin coach follows, rolling down the street on its own float before the convoy heads toward the park.
What Magic Happens Is
Disney describes Magic Happens as a high-energy daytime parade led by Mickey Mouse and his pals, with floats, costumes and music built around moments of magic from Disney stories. Those include Cinderella, where pumpkins become carriages, The Sword in the Stone, where swords are pulled from stone, and Pixar’s Coco.
The parade debuted in late February 2020 as part of Disneyland’s 65th anniversary and ran for less than a month before the park closed for the pandemic. It returned to Main Street on February 24, 2023.
Part Of Disneyland’s 2027 Lineup
Disney announced the return at D23 in August as one of three entertainment comebacks for 2027. A refreshed Remember… Dreams Come True returns to Disneyland in February 2027, and an updated take on the original World of Color arrives at Disney California Adventure the same month.
Disneyland’s current parade slate has already changed this year. Paint the Night took its final bow on August 20, closing out the entertainment built for the resort’s 70th anniversary.
