Disney Cruise Line is changing what guests can bring onboard to drink. Starting with sailings departing on or after June 3, 2026, the line is reducing its bring-aboard wine allowance, while making one change that wine lovers will actually appreciate.
What The New Alcohol Policy Allows
Under the updated policy, guests 21 and older may bring one bottle of unopened wine or champagne, no larger than 750ml, on board at the start of each sailing. That is down from the previous allowance of two bottles per adult. The beer allowance is not changing: guests can still bring six beers, no larger than 12 ounces each, at embarkation.
As before, all bring-aboard alcohol must be packed in carry-on bags in its original unopened packaging, and the allowance applies at the start of the cruise, not at each port of call. Alcohol purchased in ports is stored by the ship and returned at the end of the voyage.
The Silver Lining: A Lower Corkage Fee
There is one piece of good news tucked into the update. Guests who bring their bottle of wine to dinner will now pay a $20 corkage fee, down from $29. If you plan to enjoy your bottle in one of the ships’ dining rooms rather than your stateroom, the change softens the blow of the reduced allowance a bit.
When The Change Takes Effect
The new limits apply to sailings departing on or after June 3, 2026. Cruises departing before that date sail under the current two-bottle policy. Full beverage policy details are available on the official Disney Cruise Line website.
