EPCOT’s poutine faithful, your patience is about to pay off. Walt Disney World has confirmed that Refreshment Port, the quick-service stand that has been hiding behind construction walls since January 12, will officially reopen as La Poutinerie hosted by Air Canada on July 1, 2026. And yes, that date is Canada Day, which is exactly the kind of detail we love to see.
From Refreshment Port To La Poutinerie
Refreshment Port quietly closed back in January for what Disney originally described as a routine refurbishment. The truth turned out to be much more interesting: the building is being absorbed into the Canada pavilion’s storytelling as a dedicated poutine destination, sponsored by Air Canada, the Official Canadian Airline of Walt Disney World Resort. Longtime EPCOT fans know Refreshment Port already served specialty poutine (and, in earlier eras, DOLE Whip), so this is less a menu revolution and more a full embrace of the stand’s greatest hit.
The redesigned building leans into the theme with new La Poutinerie signage, a centerpiece featuring Canada geese in flight, maple trees showing off fall foliage, and stone and wood paneling that gives the kiosk a proper Canadian lodge feel.
What’s On The Menu
Disney has released the full opening menu, as detailed by Disney Tourist Blog. The headliner is the Québec: L’Authentique poutine at $10.99, the classic build of french fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy, joined by a second specialty poutine option. On the beverage side, the stand adds a Spiced Apple Slushy, a Spiced Apple Mule made with Iceberg Canadian Vodka, and Canadian beers including Unibroue’s La Fin du Monde.
Here is our prediction: expect that menu to grow when the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off August 27. Refreshment Port has long been a festival workhorse, home of the beloved Braised Beef Poutine, and a poutine-dedicated kiosk during Food and Wine practically writes its own booth menu.
A Busy Season Around World Showcase
The Canada Day opening gives EPCOT a fresh dining headline heading into the July 4 holiday week, and it is just one piece of an unusually busy stretch for the park. Just beyond the berm, coaster track for the Monsters, Inc. attraction has been spotted staged along the Skyliner route, a reminder that Walt Disney World’s expansion era is very much underway.
