A Jordan Chiles documentary is coming to Hulu and Disney+. Fair Play: The Jordan Chiles Story, a feature-length film from Andscape about the Olympic gymnast, is now in production and will premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in fall 2027, ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Trishtan Williams is directing the film, which was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Andscape is producing with Campfire Studios and Select Entertainment.

A Road To LA28 Inside And Outside The Gym

The documentary follows the 25-year-old as she works toward what would be her third Olympic Games. Cameras will follow her in the gym and away from it, through the pressure of competing at the top level, the public attention that comes with it and her growing role as a voice for younger athletes. The film also digs into her identity and her push to take control of how her story gets told.

Chiles already has two Olympic medals from the team competition. She helped Team USA win silver at the Tokyo Games and then gold in Paris in 2024. Off the mat she has written a best-selling memoir and spoken up about mental health and body positivity.

“My journey in gymnastics has taught me a lot about resilience, perseverance, and the importance of defining success on my own terms,” Chiles said. “As I work toward LA28, I’m excited to partner with Andscape and Hulu to share more of my story, reflect on the experiences that have shaped me, and explore what it means to step into this next chapter while reclaiming my narrative.”

The Director Wants The Whole Picture

Williams said the goal is to show Chiles as more than her scores.

“Jordan is so much more than an extraordinary athlete. She’s a young woman navigating immense expectations while finding the courage to define herself on her own terms,” Williams said. “What excites me most about directing this film is the opportunity to capture Jordan in all her dimensions: her joy, vulnerability, ambition, and resilience.”

Andscape is Disney’s platform for stories at the intersection of race, sports and culture, and this film fits squarely in that lane. A fall 2027 premiere puts it on screens less than a year before the Los Angeles Games open in July 2028, the Games Chiles is now training toward.

An exact premiere date has not been announced yet. It joins other sports titles headed to Disney’s streamers, like The Pursuit: F1 Academy, which arrives on Disney+ in November.
