Nomad Lounge To Go is on its way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, giving guests a way to order the lounge’s churros through Mobile Order instead of grabbing a seat at the bar. Disney has already set up a Nomad Lounge To Go page on the Walt Disney World website, listed as a mobile order snack spot in Discovery Island.
You can’t place an order yet. The listing appeared in the My Disney Experience app on the morning of Wednesday, October 7, with the order button in place but no pickup times to choose from. Disney hasn’t posted a start date, so the switch could flip any day.
Why This Matters For Your Animal Kingdom Day
Until now, getting Nomad Lounge churros meant checking in for a spot in the lounge. The To Go option splits the snack off from the sit-down experience, so you can grab churros and keep moving without waiting on a table.
Mobile Order works the same way it does everywhere else at Walt Disney World. You pick your items in the app, choose an arrival window, pay, and tap that you’ve arrived when you get there. The food is made fresh once you check in, then you walk up and collect it. Because the lounge sits right on the path to Pandora, it is an easy stop before Avatar Flight of Passage or Na’vi River Journey.
Disney’s To Go page doesn’t show prices yet. On the current Nomad Lounge menu, the churros come with vanilla crema and apple butter for $11.
What To Know Before You Order
The To Go listing does not accept Disney Dining Plan meals, so plan to pay out of pocket or with a card saved in the app. If you keep a Disney gift card on file, you can set it as your default payment in the app and use it here too.
Churros are the only item mentioned so far. Nomad Lounge also pours specialty cocktails, coffee and tea and serves small plates, but none of those appear on the To Go page yet, and Disney hasn’t said whether any will join.
Nomad Lounge sits beside Tiffins Restaurant on Discovery Island. Nothing about the To Go listing changes the lounge itself, so guests who want a cocktail and a seat overlooking Discovery River can still head inside as usual.
Once ordering opens, check the arrival windows in the app before you head over. Mobile Order windows at popular snack spots can fill up on busy days, and churros are made to order, so picking a window a little ahead of when you want them is the safest bet.
