Shanghai Disney Resort’s Third Hotel Named Enchanted Star Hotel, Opens This Winter

Shanghai Disney Resort has officially named its upcoming third hotel. The new property will be called the Enchanted Star Hotel and is set to open this winter, according to Laughing Place, which covered the announcement made during Shanghai Disneyland’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

The Enchanted Star Hotel will join the existing Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel at the resort. The addition of a third hotel reflects the continued growth and success of Shanghai Disney Resort, which has seen strong attendance since opening in June 2016 and continues to expand with major projects, including the Spider-Man themed coaster currently under construction.

Shanghai Disneyland’s 10th Anniversary

The announcement came as part of a major 10th anniversary event at the resort. Former Disney CEO Bob Iger, who was instrumental in making Shanghai Disneyland a reality, was on hand for the celebration and was presented with a special gift: a replica of the top spire of the park’s Enchanted Storybook Castle, recognizing his role in bringing the resort to life. Iger was also honored with a gold peony during the anniversary festivities, a symbol of prosperity and honor in Chinese culture.

Details about the Enchanted Star Hotel’s theming, room count, and pricing have not yet been announced, but the name suggests a celestial concept distinct from the fairy-tale elegance of the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the playful energy of the Toy Story Hotel. The Enchanted Star Hotel is expected to open winter 2026.
