Sleeping Beauty Castle is getting frostier by the day. Christmas decorating has picked back up at Disneyland, and the castle now has even more icicles hanging from its front and back, with snow piled across the blue rooftops of nearly every turret.
Christmas decorating has continued on Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland! We now have even more icicles on the front and back!

Last week the work seemed to pause for a bit. On October 16 there had been no new progress on the castle since the day before, and the only movement out front came from the wind tugging at the banners. The decorating crew is clearly back at it now.
What Changed On The Front
From Main Street and the hub, the castle now looks properly wintry. Snow caps the towers from the tallest spire down to the smaller turrets along the walls, and fresh icicles hang along the edges of the rooftops against the blue shingles. The pink and purple banners still hang over the archway, so the castle keeps its familiar colors while the white takes over up top.
It is a big step from a week ago, when we first reported that snow and icicles were spreading across Sleeping Beauty Castle. Now most of the roofline facing the hub has its winter coat.
The Fantasyland Side Too
The back of the castle, the side guests see walking out into Fantasyland past Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, has its own new icicles and snow-covered towers. Scaffolding is still standing against one of the turrets on that side, so the crew is not done yet.
If you are planning a castle photo in the next few days, the scaffolding is something to keep in mind on the Fantasyland side. The hub side had no scaffolding in view in Friday’s photos.
Still Open While Crews Work
The decorating has not closed the way through the castle. Guests were passing through the archway in Friday’s photos, with big crowds gathered in front of the castle. If you want to see the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for its status.
Disneyland has not shared a date for when the castle’s full holiday look will be finished. For now, each visit seems to bring a little more snow, so the castle you see this weekend may look different from the one you see next week.
