Disney also revealed the full menu and reservation on-sale date
The date lands right after the current occupant clears out. Jessie’s Roundup, the Toy Story character experience that has held the space, wraps up on September 8 according to Blog Mickey, giving the Horseshoe just under a month to turn the room around.
A Menu Built For A Saloon
The food skews shareable and Southwestern. The lineup includes a charcuterie board with cured beef, candied bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar and pickles, plus glazed sticky ribs with cowboy beans and jalapeno crisps, queso fundido with barbecue burnt ends, sweet golden corn fritters with cilantro ranch and red chili honey, a chipotle chicken tostada with queso fresco, lime crema and pickled cactus salsa, and a mini hot dog platter wrapped in pastry with chips and queso.
The bar list leans just as hard into the theme. Cocktails include the Whinnyin’ Whiskey Lemonade with Jack Daniel’s and Aperol, a Cactus Rose Margarita built on LALO Blanco with prickly pear, the High Plains Huckleberry with 44 North Mountain Huckleberry Vodka, a Rattler Rum Punch with Bacardi and a sweet-and-spicy rim, and a Coal’d Fashioned that mixes Buffalo Trace bourbon with Mr. Black cold brew coffee liqueur and cinnamon syrup. A seasonal In Holiday Fashion cocktail joins later, alongside Nino Franco prosecco, Fess Parker Riesling and MacMurray Estate pinot noir by the glass and drafts from Samuel Adams, Yuengling and Cigar City. Non-alcoholic options are an Orange Cream Soda, a Caramel Root Beer with sweet cream, an Enchanting Ember Lemonade with strawberry and hot honey, and an Enchanted Grove Lime Splash with cucumber and mint.
One thing Disney did not release: prices. The announcement covers every item and ingredient but attaches no dollar figures, and the restaurant’s online menu still shows the outgoing $45 adult and $24 child feast pricing, so budgeting for a Horseshoe stop will have to wait.
Party Season Changes The Schedule
The pop-up comes with an unusual operating pattern for the holidays. It will not operate during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights, which have been selling out since the start of summer, but it will operate during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, making it a bonus option for holiday party guests in November and December. Disney has not announced a closing date for the pop-up, leaving its run open-ended for now.
The reopening ends a quiet stretch for one of Magic Kingdom’s most storied rooms. The Diamond Horseshoe has cycled through revue shows, character meals and long dark periods since 1971, and this latest incarnation drops the all-you-care-to-enjoy feast of roasted turkey, pot roast and smoked pork loin that defined its most recent full-service era in favor of a small-plates-and-cocktails format.
