Ryan Murphy’s next FX drama is bringing some serious pop star firepower to its soundtrack. Grammy-nominated artist Troye Sivan and his longtime collaborator Leland are creating original music for The Shards, the upcoming series based on Bret Easton Ellis’s acclaimed novel, with series star and rising pop artist Hayes Warner also contributing original songs, Laughing Place reports.
A Perfect Match For A Spooky, Sexy Show
Sivan announced the news on Instagram, writing that he had “so much fun writing some songs for this spooky sexy show.” He is known for hits like “Rush” and “One of Your Girls,” while Leland’s writing credits include “1999” by Charli XCX and Troye Sivan, “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max, and “Fetish” by Selena Gomez. Warner, who plays Debbie Schaffer in the series, was previously named a People Magazine Artist to Watch. Together, the trio is tasked with driving the suspense, seduction, and obsession at the heart of the drama.

Based on the bestselling novel by Ellis, whose credits include American Psycho, The Shards comes from Ryan Murphy and is produced by 20th Television. The series premieres Wednesday, August 5, 2026, with two episodes on FX and Hulu beginning at 9 p.m. ET, and will be available on Disney+ internationally.
