Walt Disney World briefly listed Delta Air Lines as a participating carrier on its Airport Luggage Transfer service on June 29, 2026, before removing the update the same day and confirming that Delta had been added in error. As of now, Delta is not a supported airline on the program, and the official page has been corrected to reflect that.
What Happened
On the morning of June 29, Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer page updated to show Delta alongside the three airlines already in the program: American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Because Delta is one of the largest carriers at Orlando International Airport and one of the most commonly used airlines for Walt Disney World guests, the addition would have meaningfully expanded the number of families able to use the service. A few hours later, however, Disney pulled the listing and a spokesperson confirmed it had been added in error. The program remains limited to American, Southwest, and United for now.
How The Service Works
The Airport Luggage Transfer service, operated by BagCheck, allows eligible guests to have their checked bags transferred directly between Orlando International Airport and their Disney Resort hotel in both directions. On arrival, guests drop their bags with their airline as usual, skip baggage claim at MCO, and head straight to Walt Disney World, with luggage delivered to the resort and retrieved through Luggage Assistance. On departure, guests drop bags at the resort before leaving and pick them up at baggage claim at their final destination.
Importantly, the service is currently available only to guests staying at one of Disney’s five Value Resort hotels: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, All-Star Music Resort, All-Star Sports Resort, Art of Animation Resort, and Pop Century Resort. It applies to eligible domestic flights only. The program launched as a pilot at Pop Century in 2025 for Southwest departures, later added Southwest arrivals, and expanded to American and United in May 2026.
Still Room To Grow
Disney’s official page notes that additional airlines could be added soon, the same language that preceded earlier expansions. Whether Delta’s brief June 29 appearance was a preview of a coming announcement or simply a mistake, Disney has not said. For now, Delta flyers hoping to use the perk will need to keep an eye on the official page. Guests planning a trip should also factor in other recent resort logistics changes, including the new Disney Springs resort transportation verification policy.
