Disney’s Animal Kingdom is moving closer to its Encanto-themed attraction in the Tropical Americas expansion, with new word of voice recording work tied to the project.
Adassa Steps Back Into The Booth
According to WDWMagic and MickeyBlog, Adassa, who voices Dolores Madrigal in the original Encanto film, recently visited Walt Disney Imagineering to record new audio for the attraction. Bringing back the original voice cast for a theme park adaptation is a strong signal that Imagineers want to keep the experience as close as possible to the tone and characters fans fell for in the 2021 film.
The Encanto attraction is one of several major additions planned for Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas land, a large-scale expansion that has been progressing behind the scenes, with vertical construction on the Casita Madrigal already underway. Tropical Americas is expected to draw on the worlds of Encanto and Indiana Jones, blending an immersive Colombian-inspired setting with new attractions, dining, and theming throughout the area.
