Holiday prep has started at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Snow machines are back along Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard has a newer model this year, and strands of Christmas lights now wrap the Hollywood Boulevard hedges, about two weeks before the park’s first holiday offering opens on November 4.

New Machines On Sunset, The Usual Ones On Hollywood
Blog Mickey spotted black Boreas M6 IP machines from Froggy’s Fog set up on stands between the palms and cypress trees near Tower of Terror, with another mounted on a rooftop under a billboard frame. Hollywood Boulevard is sticking with the Snow Storm units from Global Special Effects that guests have seen in past years.
Those sit on the rooftops of the Art Deco storefronts, each with a fluid jug clipped to the side and a black cover on top for now. More hang from the light poles near the Chinese Theater, next to the floodlights. The Christmas lights in the hedges aren’t on yet.
The snow machines and lights went up in mid-October last year too, so this is right on time.
When The Holidays Start At Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay starts things off on November 4 and runs through January 6, 2027. Disney Jollywood Nights opens November 7 and returns November 14, 16, 21, 23 and 28, with select nights through January 5, 2027. The separately ticketed party runs 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM, and this year it adds the Checkin’ It Twice Lounge and two first-time Monsters, Inc. meets.
Holidays across the rest of Walt Disney World start November 13 and run through January 6, 2027, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Sunset Seasons Greetings also returns with nightly projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel, which is still partly wrapped in scaffolding as its exterior refresh wraps up.
