Downtown Disney’s Holiday Season Brings Nightly Snow And Chip And Dale’s Ornament Trail November 13

Chip and Dale's Ornament Trail at Downtown Disney District

Downtown Disney District switches over to the holidays on November 13, and this year the season runs through January 6, 2027. The nightly “snowfall” is back, Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail returns for $11.99 plus tax, and there’s new holiday décor to look for on the way in.

The district’s holiday season starts the same day the Disneyland Resort’s does, alongside the return of “it’s a small world” Holiday on November 13. Unlike the parks, Downtown Disney costs nothing to walk into.

Snow Seven Times A Night

Disney’s holiday guide promises glimmering décor, seasonal food and drinks and a nightly snowfall once the district turns into a winter wonderland. Theme Park IQ reports there will be seven snowfalls each night between 6 and 10 p.m. Last season, the snow came down around Din Tai Fung, Parkside Market and the Star Wars Trading Post, MickeyBlog reported, so that’s a good place to start.

The Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage keeps its nightly lineup going through the season too, with holiday music, DJs and bands. New light boxes are also coming to the Baldwin Gate, the security entrance between Din Tai Fung and Earl of Sandwich.

How Chip And Dale’s Ornament Trail Works

The ornament hunt is the one part of the season with a price tag. A map and stickers cost $11.99 plus tax, according to Disneyland’s Ornament Trail page. In Downtown Disney, they’re sold at World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders, WonderGround Gallery, Disney Home and Disney Storyland Boutique. At the resort hotels, look for them at STOR-E, Disney’s Fantasia Shop and Acorns Gifts & Goods.

From there, you search the holiday trees around the district for ornaments themed to Disney characters and put the matching sticker on your map each time you find one. Turn the map in at World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders for a holiday keepsake. Disney says you get the keepsake whether or not you actually do the search, with one keepsake per map and purchase limits in place.

Maps can be redeemed from November 13 through January 6, or while supplies last.

Plan Your Visit

The snow and the décor don’t require park tickets. Inside the parks, the rest of the resort’s holiday lineup, including Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! at Disney California Adventure, runs on the same November 13 to January 6 dates. Seasonal menu items, sweet treats and drinks will also show up at participating restaurants across the district once the holidays begin.
