Nomad Lounge reservations open for the first time on October 28, and the change will make a popular Disney’s Animal Kingdom hangout a lot easier to plan around. Disney says the Discovery Island lounge will begin accepting reservations on October 28, 2026, for seatings starting November 8, 2026.
Until now, getting a table at Nomad Lounge meant walking up and hoping the wait was short. Being able to lock in a time before the trip means guests can plan an afternoon drink by the river the same way they plan any other meal.
What Changes On November 8
Seating stays walk-up only until reservations kick in on November 8. After that, the lounge will run both ways, with limited capacity for reservations and for walk-ups, according to Disney guidance shared by BlogMickey. So a spontaneous visit is still possible, but anyone who wants a guaranteed seat should book.
There’s an 11-day gap between the day bookings open and the first date guests can actually reserve. Disney hasn’t said how far ahead the Nomad Lounge calendar will run, so guests planning trips further out should keep checking the My Disney Experience app.
Where It Fits With The Passholder Deal And Churros To Go
The timing lines up with the Passholder offer already running at the lounge. Walt Disney World Passholders can get two small plates and two drinks for $49, plus tax and gratuity, from 3 p.m. until close through December 18.
Guests who only want the churros don’t need a table at all. Nomad Lounge To Go has been selling them by mobile order in the My Disney Experience app since October 14, with pickup windows chosen in the app. Cocktails and small plates still require a seat or an order at the bar.
Nomad Lounge is known for its specialty cocktails, small plates and those churros. It’s a sit-down lounge rather than a quick-service stop, and from November 8 a reservation becomes the surest way to get one of its tables.

Before You Book
Nomad Lounge sits on Discovery Island next to Tiffins, along the Discovery River near the Pandora entrance. Valid park admission is required, and depending on ticket type, a theme park reservation may be needed too. The full food and drink menu is on our Discovery Island menus page.
